Bringing the World of English Closer to Home
BumbleB English is a Setagaya-ku, Tokyo based English language school offering onsite and online lessons.
Beginner to Advanced Students
At BumbleB English, we provide English language services to children and adults. Our classes are small, and we adapt each lesson to match our students needs and capabilities.
Our classes focus on American-English pronunciation and verbal communication. We progressively add reading and writing activities in our intermediate to advanced courses.
For our beginner students, we focus on vocabulary, word sounds (phonics), and essential phrases. For our intermediate students, we add reading and basic writing. For our advanced students, the focus is on critical thinking, stating one’s own opinion, as well as reading comprehension.
Our students typically come from a range of backgrounds. Most students do not have any prior English language education before coming to BumbleB English. However, roughly 20% of our students have either lived abroad or come from a multi-cultural family where one parent is non-Japanese. We welcome students from all backgrounds, and our goal is to broaden our students understanding of the word through the use of English.
